That Is When I Found the Secret Place

One morning as I was reading Psalm 91, the very first verse stood out as though it was not inside the other scriptures, but lifted above the page:

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

That scripture did not merely draw my attention — it became alive. It reverberated right into my innermost parts, and the words that spoke directly to me were: "dwells in the secret place."

It was as if a light was switched on. God has a secret place where some can dwell. It is hidden from many — not everyone has found it. But if it is possible to dwell there, then it must be possible to get there. And if I make it my dwelling place, then God Himself protects me.

I had known God for many years. He had spoken to me before, and I had followed Him before. But I was not always sure whether what I was hearing was truly Him or my own thinking. What I found was not God — I already knew Him. What I found was a place where I could dwell with Him. Not a building, not a church, not a course. The place where God Himself dwells — and I discovered a way in. A key. And that key is what I want to share with you.

Now I have daily conversations with my Father. I keep track of what He says. I can go back to when He said what, and I have a point of reference. The doubt is gone. When He speaks, I know it is Him.

For four years I was dealing with battles, struggles, and challenges — trying to solve the problems I had created through ignorance and following advice. Calling to God for guidance and solutions, sometimes hearing Him, making mistakes, failing, getting back up, and trying again with no guide and no map — until He led me supernaturally to Psalm 91.

A Story I Need to Tell You

My name is Coenraad. I have started many businesses in my life. Let me tell you about three of them.

The first was a chemical manufacturing business. God gave me the idea — a revelation born in my spirit. I started it with almost nothing and sold it for millions.

The second was a Christian television station. Also a God idea. It took me sixteen years of battling before I got a broadcasting licence — and when I eventually got it, I started it within six months without any money. Just a dream, a plan given by God, and supernatural provision. I broadcasted for thirteen years and impacted thousands of lives across our country — because I knew the instruction came from Him, and that was enough to keep going.

The third was a business that helped people generate significant income streams. It started well — I believe the initial direction came from God. But I did not consult Him daily. I relied on my own effort and the advice of professionals — lawyers, auditors, internet consultants, business advisors, every kind of clever person you can think of. Today, I am dealing with repercussions I would not wish on my worst enemy — all because I was the captain of that ship instead of Him.

The first two were born under the direction and guidance of God on a regular basis.
